Bill Ingebrigtsen (born March 26, 1952) is a Minnesota politician and a member of the Minnesota Senate who represents District 11, which includes portions of Douglas, Grant, Stevens and Todd counties in the west central part of the state.[1]

Ingebrigtsen was born in Karlstad, Minnesota in 1952. He graduated from Hallock High School, obtained an A.A. in Law Enforcement from Alexandria Technical College, and also attended the National Sheriffs Institute of Business Management.[1]
Ingebrigtsen was a Douglas County deputy sheriff from 1972-1991. He ran for and was elected sheriff in 1990. He was re-elected in 1994, 1998 and 2002, serving in that position from 1991-2007.[1]
Ingebrigtsen currently lives in Alexandria, Minnesota with his wife, Marilyn, and has 2 children, Jason and Linnea.
A Republican, Ingebrigtsen was first elected in 2006, and was re-elected in 2010. He is currently a member of the senate's Agriculture and Veterans Committee, and Environment and Natural Resources Committee. He also serves on the Environment and Natural Resources subcommittees for Forestry, and for Public Lands and Waters, on the Finance subcommittees for the Agriculture and Veterans Budget and Policy Division, for the Judiciary Budget Division, and for the Public Safety Budget Division, and on the Rules and Administration Subcommittee for Ethical Conduct.[2]
In 2008, he was appointed to the Minnesota Lessard Outdoor Heritage Council by the senate's majority leader, Larry Pogemiller.[1]
